From a hard-working employee of a tech company I admire:

To my greatest disapointment, I frequently hear people (in tech!) say life is boring. If you meet anyone who:

• Thinks the world is on the brink of collapse
• Prefers watching YouTube over exploring real life
• Is just generally unmotivated

There has never been a better time to be alive

At a time when:

• Knowledge is one tap away
• Global health is improving
• Meeting the bare necessities is trivial
• Problems to be solved are everywhere

Don’t be afraid to fail. Unlike 500 years ago, you can recover easier than you think. You entered this world with nothing. Any gain is gain, so do something daring to make stories to tell. One day, it will be all you have to show for yourself, and you will have no regrets that you did it.

• Stop thinking “I wish I could go back to when I was 10” and start thinking “I just came from when I was 90”
• Stop staying up until 3AM for YouTube, start staying up until 3AM to build
• Stop playing the video game of someone else’s world and start playing the video game of your own

Find your passion and give yourself a reason to wake up every day. The world is litterally yours to conquer. Start every day with aggressive optimisim, thinking of what is possible.
